Sony’s announced the newest project from thatgamecompany, the developer of PSN classics flOw and Flower, known as Journey.
The title sees an exotic location in an adventure with “a more serious tone”,with an online experience that will allow you to meet strangers that are actual real players of the game throughout the world that is full of past reminders to an ancient civilization.
Players are encouraged to go through Journey at their own pace, as well as team up with a stranger online in the game as they walk, fly and glide around the world around them and “re-shape the experience” within the game.
It’ll release on PlayStation Network next year, just as thatgamecompany’s Jenova Chen said back at GDC in March when they said the studio’s new game wouldn’t be out until then.

OPM UK: 10/10 - It's one of the few games you'll genuinely reflect on after completion, and an object lesson in how less can be more when it comes to crafting narrative and eliciting investment. This is a game about which I would change nothing, and I can't remember having said that too many times before.
Edge: 8/10 - For those who play games to explore strange lands, see beautiful sights and to immerse themselves - for however brief a time - in a new world, Journey is perfect. And what's more, they'll find someone like them to share it with.
Spong: 10/10 - Journey is ThatGameCompany's finest achievement. The gameplay is gripping, the premise (or lack of it) is incredibly exciting and the dazzling spectacle of the world around you gives you a genuine sense of wonder and joy. A truly fantastic example of interactive entertainment, and a title that every gamer worth their salt needs to play.
Eurogamer: 9/10 - The studio has poured the deserts, trashed the temples and filled the world with the floating presence of a nameless almighty. The truly brilliant move, though, was to leave a space at the very centre of the design that only a stranger can fill.
ShopTo: Outstanding - To say that Journey isn't unique would be a complete lie, the game offers a completely different experience for each type of player. The solo player can explore and take their time with the game, whereas a group of players can tackle the game together, there is something special about this simple format of play. ThatGameCompany is following in the footsteps of Naughty Dog by creating some of the most impressive sand and terrain effects I have seen in a game, and certainly the best I have seen in a downloadable title. Journey is the Fantasia of the gaming world, it is bright, it is fun and overall it is an experience not to be missed.

That it comes at a time where risk is routinely avoided, sent out into a landscape clouded by doubt and dominated by the safe, the tried and tested? Maybe that's the real wonder.
TheSixthAxis: 10/10 - Journey for me is simple and defined without any ambiguity: we all have a simple beginning and a simpler end and are - as the nondescript, universal cloak the character wears throughout demonstrate - all created equal. It's who we meet and what we do along the way with those people that matters above anything else. And standing alone, in silence, can be heartbreaking.

The Average Gamer: Great - We rode carpet-critters together and we called to each other across towers of light. We battled wind and cold together and we shuddered in fear from the beasties that sought us. We waited for each other in the harshest of climes. We suffered together. We were silenced together. We walked hand in hand into the light. I have never spoken to Dave or Carl. You should buy this game.

Eh sì, è un'esperienza molto particolare da quanto ho letto. In pratica incontrerai altra gente sul tuo cammino senza mai conoscerne l'identità perché credo non si possa comunicare, solo "viaggiare" insieme (una volta sola per quella partita), se si vuole.

a me ste cose imbarazzano sempre: cosa devo fare con quelle persone? Non ho giocato piu' a LBP perche' avevo paura che entrassero persone nella mia stanza e volessero parlare :D
