How many computers can I install the game on?
There is no limit to the number of computers on which you can install the game. However you can only play with your individual Ubisoft account on one computer at a time.
Is there an "off-line" option?
No. The added services to the game (unlimited installs, online storage of saved games and the fact that you don’t need the game disc to play) require you to have an online connection while playing the game.

Questa è una cosa che c'è anche sulle FAQ di Steam, ma che spesso non è vera. Un Firewall molto restrittivo (quello di un albergo o di un condominio con annessa banda larga, piuttosto comune fuori dell'italia) spesso ti lascia uscire solo sulla porta 80 (l'HTTP) quasi tutti questi servizi girano su porte multiple diverse dall'HTTP per tutta una serie di motivi... Staremo a vedere.
I salvataggi saranno anche in locale (quindi almeno ne potrete fare una copia).
La connessione richiesta è almeno una DSL di fascia bassa, quindi scordatevi di usarla con un modem GPRS dalla casa in montagna.
